10915, LeMont Rd

Yes yes, this address is more important than 10, Downing street or 1600, Pennsylvania Avenue!! Can't guess who lives there? See for yourself...

Yeah we(me+kiten+vinayak+milan+some imaginary girlfriends) went to Chicago last weekend. On the way picked up Vinayak at Purdue. The temple is in the Greater Chicago area. Enjoyed every bit of the dharsan. Enjoyed the prasaatham even more. The meal was complete with long-dark-haired-typical-triplicane crowd, idli, vada, masala dosa, puli saadam and they even managed steel-chairs! For all i know i could have been in some wedding party in SriRangam, Trichy for those magical 30 minutes.

Went to Devon street aka MG road aka Jinnah road. Was never more happy to see litter on the pavement. Was happy to see all shops with the hoarding read "India-Pakistan items sold yada-yada". A third country does a lot of things to people.
Most shops were named after our Father of the nation. Gandhi Hardware, Gandhi Kitchen Utensils, Gandhi Cuisine.... was thankful that there wasn't any `Gandhi Wines`.

Ahh..the pleasure of watching indian girls! Sorry no pictures.../evil laughs
Haircut($6), Samoosa chaat($2.78), some regular chat, some drooling, 4 hours and a few MBBS(Married, But Beautiful Sight) later it was time to get back. Saw the city in lights, and this time i had a camera.

But sadly i do not have a tripod... please bear with the shaky me.

Law of Conservation of Mass

Im sitting in my cubicle on a hot sunday afternoon looking at bugs to fix in my code, listening to tamil songs and trying to write something coherant so that i dont lose my precious readers! (now that many of my readers know my yahoo IM handle they leave me threatening offliners to that affect!) And all i can think of to write is `The Law of Conservation of Mass` ...err... anyways here goes the spool of thoughts...

I downloaded a lot yesterday. No, no, not porn.... songs! Yeah, music. I downloaded MBs and MBs of it, until coolgoose.com spit back at me "You have exceeded your limit of download for a day!". This would never happen in India since with the ISP's speed there one has to download for a week to exceed a day's limit. (not to mention the frequent disconnects and the frustrations :( it causes while trying to chat)

One song goes like this....
தலைவன்: பனிஓ, பனி-இன் துலிஓ, உன் இதல் மலெ என்ன?
தலைவி: பனிஓ, தேனோ .... நீ சுவைத்தால் என்ன!

(Tamil readers please bear the spelling mistakes.)
English readers, translation...

lover: is it dew? or dew drops? on ur lips?
girl: dew? or honey?...isn't it for you to taste!

so this is what flirting is!!!! It had been staring at me for this long and only now i realise the beauty of it!

Not unlike reading -and understanding!- The Law of Conservation of Mass after getting a degree in engineering.

There is a time for everything, i say.
